The joy of babysitting, whether this is your first experience or you have had a lifetime of looking after children, is the pleasure you get from interacting with the children, the love and energy that they give to you. However in addition it needs to be worthwhile from your point of view.
Vetted Placements
Firstly you need to know that the home you are going to will be a safe working environment for you. At Time Babysitting we try to vet all of our potential placements as the safety of both the child and yourself is fundamentally important to us.
We will also ensure that you receive as much information as possible about the child you will be looking after prior to you meeting them. This will include details about the child's particular needs, routines, behaviours etc and information that you should know.
Consistency of Placements
Wherever it is possible we will ensure that you work with the same children on an ongoing basis. This allows you to build the trust and rapport with not just the child but their parents that lift babysitting from just being a way of earning money it to what we hope will be a thoroughly rewarding experience.
Professional Development
We have found that if you are interested in working with special needs children the ability to include on your CV, and discuss in interview, that you have worked with autistic children can open doors to a permanent jobs. Also, working within a family situation will give you a huge amount of insight and understanding as to what life is like living with a child with autism, a privilege that not all professionals working in this field will have encountered.
Insurance
In a world with more and more "no win - no fee" legal claims being brought you can rest assured that we will insure you for any placement booked through Time Babysitting.
Training
All babysitters will receive an initial Autism Awareness Training prior to working with the families.
How it works
Following the necessary vetting process we will register you as one of our babysitters.
We will then endeavour to offer you placements with families or organisations whenever they become available. We bill the family and pay you on the 15th of the following month.
